When I was in college I worked with a fellow whom I thought was really old at the time. He was probably in his sixties. That was perhaps 1964. He still had log books for all the cars (only four of them), that he'd ever owned, starting with a 1938 Chevrolet. He recorded everything, including gasoline purchases, even windshield cleaning. If it was done to his car, it was in the book. mcneely
