put some grease on the ball type joints on the linkage arms. The shafts through the body to wiper arms can be lubed too (some pics on a blog post I made http://shufti.wordpress.com/2012/02/02/vanagon-wiper-shaft-lubrication/ Bentley says lube that shaft molybdenum disulfide grease, hard to do with dash in place, but possible I think with dash out (shaft can be pushed back in ). I used oil from the outside, maybe you have a chance to do it right? good luck alistair
