here's another thing 'in the neighborhood' .. the clutch pdeal clivis pin and the hole thepin goes though, on the clutch pedal.

it's metal-to-metal there, greased once at the factory as far as I know. Spray up in there as best you can with a good penetrating spray grease.

Sometimes that spot wears , sometimes badly (especially on syncro's) resulting in excessive play at the top of the clutch pedal travel. and then.. well, once you do that..you might as well bleed in some fresh brake fluid to the clutch hydrualics .. and then ..since you did that .. might as well bleed fresh BF out to the wheels.. and then ...since you did that .... etc. Allmy repair tasks take a good amount of time due to attending to related and nearby items. .sometimes it goes on and on. scott
