Crazy as this sounds (the question in general AND just the issue of trying
to find it out), does anyone know the thread pitch of the empty bolt holes
on the AUTOMATIC transmission?  There are only two or three above and
forward of the CV joint on the right side of the van.  I bought a small
handful of a variety of bolts and not one of them fits.  Now that the van
is not driving, it's not too easy to take it to the store and find the
right size.  Not that I did even when it was driving!  I they're probably
(just out of memory) about 6-9 mm in diameter on the shank of the bolt.  I
suspect most of them have the holes but are unused but just in case, mine
is an 87.  Sorry no pix but I don't know how to get a pix on the site
anyhow...
