I stand somewhat corrected.

So I'm stranded at the mall, Westy engine hatch open, the sun pouring in. As I ponder my situation, a small car backs in beside my spot. A "normally dressed" but still fetching woman, pops out. Noticing the plethora of empty Becks beer bottles in the back of my Westy, she asks if I know where the liquor store is. Of course I DO and point her toward it. She then asks "what's wrong?" Upon my reply she asks if I've narrowed down the cause of the no start. She informs me that she owns a Land Rover, which is currently in for a new alternator. (she had arrived in "Moms" car). We commiserate sharing car stories. She is obviously not unfamiliar with this older "special" vehicles. Of further unrelated irony, a musician friend, who I've not seen in nearly 15 years, happened to walk over at EXACTLY the same time. I thought this person had fallen off the face of the earth. Anyhow.....

My point: I'm pretty sure she would have been game to help push start my bus! Moreover, she could likely have helped me change the starter!
