Subject: Ignition Switch Housing Removal
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=ISO-8859-1; format=flowed

Gotta change the ignition switch. Everything removed right down to the housing - nothing left to do but pull the housing itself - and it will not budge. Prol'ly never disturbed since assembly at the factory. Double checked to be sure I didn't miss anything - and it is clean. Simply cannot budge it. Checked with my FLAPS/Tool Rentals and did not find a puller that would fit. Needs 6 inch puller arms and didn't find any. When I did this on ol' Red - my 88GL - it came right off. On this one - ol' Blue Volksiebus - it won't budge.

Anyone got any ideas? Have I maybe over looked something? Steering wheel nut, steering wheel and switches all removed, the black sleeve is removed, and the cap screw is definitely removed. Anything else that should keep it from moving?

Thanks,

John Rodgers
