Baggie could you use a large enough piece of HeatShrinkTubing & just shrink the ends after install?

I'm not INSTALLING anything. I'm cleaning (done) lubeing (done) then gopping CV grease on the joint as a lubricant-seal (the needle bearings are INSIDE the joint cups just like prop shaft ujoints so can't actually be lubed), to limit rust and other external wear conditions. I'd have to disconnect an end to slip a shrink over this thing and am not sure just how long that would last since this thing is constantly turning every time the van is steered. That's why I would want to leave a pocket/space inside the baggie.

You'll get the drift of what's being discussed after you crawl under your van and take a look at what's there, where it is and what it's exposed to.
