I have two kinds..
Yakima is a common popular brand. They're heavy ..I don't like the round
tube crossbars that much,
and parts for them are expensive.


Can't think of the other brand I have by name...swedish company I think..
has rectaular section cross bars ....not as heavy and bulky ....nice
round large knobs to tighten them down ...
I like these really a lot. Have carried two sea kayaks  a bunch.
Yeah ..Thule is the brand name.
I'd buy another set any day.  Got a solid 15 to 20 yrs use out of them ..
never had to even think about or fix anything on them. Highly
recommended by me.
