Thanks for clarification of what the #1 wire to ECU does. Thinking now, I see what you mean. Like I was able to bump start the van w/o energizing that wire......

Ya I doubt it's the ECU. Bought it from Ben (Benplace.com). He wouldn't send a faulty part. And as you suggest, very unlikely the ECU is shorting things out. I pulled T2m as per Marks suggestion. Starter still won't turn but the ! light still comes on (brake off)
