Hey Scott.

2 different ways. 1. Volt meter. 2. Connected one wire of switch to battery, the other to test light, then probe of test light to battery. Test light, volt meter both OK. I'm not sure what's a better use of my time; unearthing the receipt for this new part, driving to store, or cutting it open and fixing it. (yah the flippin' switch is encased in a one piece rubber handle. Sheesh)
