I have a yellow top Optima, I'll have to check the size, but I believe it is a group 41, & in order to install it, I had to notch the steel (Sawzall) under the seat a tad to clear the top posts when tipping said battery on its side, so that it could easily lay there. I then used the side posts to connect it. I also put a piece of 2 x 4 on 1 end of the compartment to hold the battery in place , side to side. W/ this installation, the cover will fit flush, unlike if the top posts are facing up.

YMMV,

Mr. BZ-let the battery thread wars begin!
