The Deka group 48 AGM battery will not fit under the cover!

I have put lots of Group 48 batteries in Vanagons. They are not really taller than 41, though various size charts show them that way. The chart listed size wouldn't fit at all if it were true, too tall. They have slightly better cranking specs, are not quite as long, and thus are a bit easier to maneuver in and out of the tight battery boxes under the front seats. They are not just 41 marked as 48, the cases are different in several aspects.

This photo shows the similar heights and the better specs of the 48 vs 41 of the same brand.

I have purchased them recently from Costco and before that Wmart. It seems that Wmarts near me have stopped carrying the 48 size but still carry 41.
