Busdepot has the peen nuts but I've reused them. Also....

On my '88 and '81, even if I "lifted" the peen before removing the nut(s), it seems nut removal may slightly damage the spindle threads.

To the list: How far in does one peen the nut? Seems it's easy to make the peen too far in.

IF there was slight thread damage, and IF a less than aware mechanic didn't take time to work the nut back on, maybe they could cross thread the nut ???

Experts please weigh in!
