A VanagonResuscitating friend of mine & I went to see this 89Westy yesterday & it is a WonderfulSightToBehold ~ have not seen one that new since I bought my 83.5 back in 83 ~ 36182mi's on it ~ ForReal. It sits in a warehouse & gets started & idled for a bit on a monthly basis. The fellow that owns it was getting it ready to take in on a trip to Mexico this winter & shortly after its last monthly StartUp he heard a loud bang from the engine area & when he went to look , found the end of a head bolt laying on the ground. So the current situation is that he wants to sell it as is or have Louise & I get it running again & then possibly sell it ~ he has had a ride in one of Luises EJ25 powered Westys & is now thinking that he would like one of those but does not want to do a conversion on the '89 due to its totally original almost new condition. Would anyone care to venture a guess on this BeautifulWestys value?
