I recently had a fire in my Vanagons engine compartment.
I had onboard a can of First Alerts Tundra fire extinguisher.
It comes in a large aerosol can a bit larger than a common
can of spray paint. It fits easily in the glove box.
It worked amazing. I was totally impressed with the amount
of "fire stopper" that was in the can. Plus it acted like a degreaser when it came time for clean up and didn't leave
a large powdery mess. I now carry a can of this stuff
in every vehicle I own and have stashed a few around the
house/garage.
