Hi Lisa!

I drive a tin-top (1988 GL) but have similar issues - what best goes where. Not terrible knowledgeable about the details of the layout in the Campers, but if the starter battery is located like mine - under the passenger seat, then you may want to take a look at Terry K's auxiliary power/jumper booster kit that allows you to get a jump start(should you ever need it - and sooner or later you will) without having to move the passenger seat to get at the battery. A receptacle is wired to the battery and mounted by the passenger door post, on the floor immediately behind the passenger seat. There is a spot for it between the battery cover and the door post itself. His kit comes with battery cables with the male plug already on the cables so if you need a boost, all you need do is open the sliding door, and plug in, because the receptacle is right there by the door post. No muss, no fuss. You could hustle up all the parts and do it yourself, but for convenience - buy it from him. You will be happy, he will be happy - and maybe - just maybe - he'll pay me a sales commission and I'll be happy! (can you hear it - LOL - from The List!!!!) Kidding aside - it's a nice and convenient setup.

Good luck and happy camping!

My mechanic has already chastised me for putting the tire chain bag on the driver's side of the under-bench compartment. So, I thought a little survey would be nice. > > what do you put where? > > Lisa Bloch > lab@rynth.org > '89 camper 2.1L automatic >
