I posted a pic of my van (brown, top popped, go westy rainfly) on the thread. You can see the mud pattern on the van - just a heads up as my van has stock (4) VW mudflaps and they don't do much to keep the mud off the side of the van.

They probably do catch the heavy stuff, but if you are looking for something to keep the side of the van clean, then they don't work :)
