Your local auto parts place should have trailer light connectors. image of what I mean:

Warning: some generic connector packaging won't state the wire gauge. I went through this with my headlight upgrade to H4. I ended up salvaging OEM locking connectors (they lock into connector housing) from headlight plugs on an old Vanagon harness then soldered/crimped them onto new #14 wires. Anyhow....

I installed a trailer light connector in my '81 Westy kitchen. IIRC it was for extra fridge fans etc.

As long as the wire gauge is the same or larger, you're good to go!
