Almost all the aftermarket 60 degree cone lugs have a smaller face then the
Vanagon OEM. Aftermarket wheels that use these have the same cone shape as
our alloy wheels. I think VW had those lugs custom designed to increase
strength. Possibly to compensate for the deeper drilling to avoid changing
the stud length for the rears and all Syncros.
Many aftermarket wheels have trouble using a 19mm socket. I prefer the tuner
splines over the allen key setup.

I agree ...
'these will work' would be more accurate.
to their credit they so say they havn't been able to get the right longer
bolts for the front with 19mm hex head.
or at least not at that low 2 dollar price I'm sure.
as I have stated my issue about 'total accuracy and truth' is that the cone
area is smaller than a real alloy wheel nut or bolt. I like Van Cafe quite
a lot though ..
I could almost say they are the only vendor that I've dealt with that
doesn't make mistakes or sell stuff that doesn't really fit or work.
There are some vendors of conversion parts ..the part out of the box is
almost never ( ok ...'seldom' ) really exactly rightand requires some
grinding or fine tuning about fit and function.
but for 2 bucks a bolt or nut, sure can't complain.
and I do have to make sure I have a lug wrench of socket for both 17 and
19mm - not too big a penalty.
And I wouldn't feel right mounting alloy 14's with these bolts and nuts.
They ain't really the same.
