id like to still think i was the one who came up with this idea, years
ago, having owned several VW Cabriolets :)
the '90-'93 models came with these crank knob extensions for the rear
side windows..

Thanks, just what I was looking for a few weeks back. But at $34, twice
the price of the offset cranks I did get, I don't think any cosmetic
sleeve would be required -- they are apparently made of platinum and
titanium with diamond studs.
find someone parting out a '90-'93 vw cabriolet! :)

Maybe that mechanic figured that if you got in the habit of stowing the
tire chains on top of the ECU, that one day you'd throw them there all
wet and they'd leak salty water into it....

that's good thinking about wet chains .. ( or salty and wet )
but no one would put wet tire chains on top of their ecu would they ?
Perhaps the poster will say 'why' her mechanic chastised her about that.
as for Studless Winter tires ..
good ones are awesome !

Good evening all. I was just wondering if anyone has tried window cranks fro=
m a Jetta? I just replaced one window crank on my t2' and it seems to stick o=
ut a lot more then the previous crank. Might just add the needed clearance.=20=
