abrand to avoid for sure, especially in things like ball joints.
I think there is also some risk in loosing ground by replacing some
extra well made original parts with not-as-well made modern versions.
The front lower ball joints might be far more difficult than you expect.
I don't even mind a crack in the ball joint boot as then I can lube that
ball joint..
sticky penetrating motorcycle chain lube is just excellent for that.
I have ball joints and CV joints on my vairous 14 cars, some of which
are 40 yrs old..
in perfect shape, just from squirting some lube in there, like on my
1970 Mercedes.
For sure, if a lower ball joint is worn and has play, then replace it.
Otherwise I wouldn't.
I also don't believe in changing too many parts at once,
unless they are ALL worn of course.
