I wanted one of these for a long time & decided against it because of maintenance cost. Recently I picked up a 1963 190Dc. For those of you who have spent any time in Germany during the 60's you will immediately recognize the car as a 4 door taxi! So, it should be relatively cheap to keep on the road, right? Wrong!!!! The starter went out and Mercedes quoted me $1160 USD for a new replacement! I found a good used replacement out of Kalifornia for $120 USD.
