Even if poor workmanship doesn't lead to problem down the road, for me it's a matter of 'art' ..of elegance, of satisfaction of doing something really solidly and right. . for example.. I've seen parts left on vanagons with engine coversions that don't do anything at all.. like an old igniter left mounted on the firewall. ....that doesn't do anything .. doesn't go with the engine that's installed etc. I don't see how people can do that. No pride of workmanship seems to me.
