If you really want to fine tune the air pressure you need the tire load/inflation chart and you need to weight the axles with the van loaded as it would be for normal travel. Then also consider that you need some reserve since on a given axle the weight will not be evenly distributed across both sides. VW often recommends the front tires have lower inflation than the rears to induce some "under steer". As a Vanagon is loaded the rear axle loads up very quick, especially the campers. Dennis
