Perhaps buy an electric heater and go to a site with hookups (or an alley with an outlet on the side of a building! ;) ).

We went camping next to Howe Sound (north of Vancouver) on a clear night in November - we'll be able to see the stars. It was freezing and there was a nice wind off the lake. The campsite operator took pity on us and loaned us an extension and heater. Make it quite cozy.
