Ask me why I prefer to drive/fix an 87 Syncro - we have a 2000 or 2001 Jaguar S type (inherited, we did not get the bright idea ourselves to go buy this thing). Lovely as well, but there is no heat - good thing we do not live where there is snow. Briefly persuing the Jaguar forums tells me this could be an expensive problem. No a/c either, but I suspect in that instance it probably just needs a charge/maintenance, although on second thought the climate control is obviously all tied together.

My husband previously had an 86 XJ 6, quite comfortable, larger than this S type, and far cheaper to work on.

Donna, 87 Syncro
