16YOA for me ~ got my lic' in Feb1961 in far Northern Ill ~ within days I was out

on a snow covered parking lot DoinDonuts in my folks 56FordWagon (the beast had a big

PoliceIntercepter V8 in it for some reason) ~ the real fun though came very soon later when

my buddys & I (3 or 4 cars in all) headed out to a local frozen lake & left it covered with

Donuts & Fig'8s & 4LeafClovers ~ Great educational stuff
