Don, I drive a Prius. I paid only slightly more for it in January 2006 than a Corolla cost at the time. The Corolla it replaced averaged 35 mpg. With the Prius I get 55 mpg, and the Prius is bigger. It now has 108k miles, and I have yet to spend a penny (or anything more) on repairs. At its last checkup (free at my dealer) I was told that the batteries are good for another 100k miles at least, probably considerably more. Due to its value, it has become one of the top selling cars in the U.S. And yes, it does not not pollute at nearly the rate that other vehicles do. What am I supposed to do, go around with a hangdog face decrying my lemon to make you and others who disparage it feel better?

Good grief!! mcneely
