Subject: NVC: Clark Terry Documentary - "Keep On Keepin' On" Trailer
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=ISO-8859-1

Hi all.

Actually worked with Clark some years ago. Even then he was getting around in a wheel chair. I recall him wheeling up beside me (I was at the end of the band riser) and warming up by buzzing only his lips. He did so PERFECTLY. This is not easy to do! Then, he got up in the conductors chair and we ran through his charts (music) He played great in rehearsal and even better in the show. This from a man who was already in poor health and getting on in years. I think this was back in 2000 or so.

I was so inspired by the man and the musician and will never forget that gig.

This popped up on my FaceBark page. (Gee. FaceBook is good for something?)

Looks like a great movie. Not sure where it's for sale. Don't see if on his website here: (music will start) http://clarkterry.com/#/2012/12/celebrating-and-happy/ Anyhow......

If you're into Jazz, you know this guy is a household name. Even if you're not, looks like a touching, inspirational film.

Neil.
