Subject: looking for a source for temp 2/temperature gauge sending unit
              connectors
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="us-ascii"; format=flowed

I was in the process of replacing the temp 2 sending unit on my 1990 vanagon and was also checking the wiring for the temperature gauge sending unit today and the connector for the temperature gauge sending unit broke. I'm thinking that it would be wise to replace both connectors since they are exceptionally brittle from the exposure to the heated coolant. I checked all of the usual places and list vendors and am not finding anything. The dealership said that they would need a part # which I wouldn't imagine is going to be on this connector. Does anyone know of a part number or source for a couple of new connectors? I checked the archives but am coming up empty handed. I would really like to find them new since anything used is going to be likely to be as brittle as what I removed. Thanks for any help that anyone can offer.
