Putting aside whether putting on or taking off chains could ever be considered 
anything but a royal pain, Thule CS-10 tire chains are least annoying chains I 
 have ever owned.  They are not cheap but they are designed with a automatic 
tensioner which works great and when it comes time to take them off, you pull a 
ripcord and they fall off your tires like magic.  While others are lying on the 
cold wet ground struggling and swearing, you are in and out of your vehicle in a 
couple of minutes. Check em out.
