It's just a bad contact somewhere, the element is not going to burn out. Doing this was the very first repair I ever made on a Vanagon, having driven my sister's (later to be mine) in Scotland for about three days. I did it on their kitchen table with only their basic handyman tools (a screwdriver, I imagine). Yours, David |
