He evidently beat that rap, but it's been over a year since I drove through Pulaski so I do not know the current state of affairs. the mistake kevin made was buying a property that was right in the middle of town on a main road. if he had bought a farm in the country off a main road in the middle of nowhere, nobody would have complained. i went thru something similar a few yrs ago as some of y'all may remember. the most vanagons ive ever had at one time was about 25 -30 or so at my folks farm. you couldn't even see them from the road, they were all neatly lined up like kevins.. but..it just took one person to make a call to the township and that was it. it was a way for them to make money on the fines so they jumped on it like flies on poo.... "fine" with me, i sold the westys and parted out the rest. i saved what i could but a lot of good stuff went to the crusher as i was under a time constraint. made some money back at the local scrapper when i hauled them over the scale, but mostly it was a loss because scrap metal was down then. such is life. i just have 3 runners now and one parts van for my own use. my vanagon collecting days are over! :) chris '89 westy '84 sunroof wolfsburg '85 doka and one '85 parts van. that's it!! |
