I am running a 92 jetta 1.8L with a GTI head and sport cam in my 85 weekender, used vanagon diesel mounting components, bellhousing, oil pan etc. so it is laid over and fits under the lid with no cutting. kept the whole vanagon control system , wirings ,ingnition, fuel, computor etc. used an audi 90 turbo exhust and kept the jetta AFM as it had a bigger intake throat. runs great and gets about 23 mpg at normal running and about 20 mpg at running at 75 mph I love the power band later mark d
