Thank you to all the Canadian list members who were nice enough to test this feature for me! I am happy to report that thanks to your help, our customers up North can now reach our Order Desk toll-free. Although not yet mentioned on our website, the same number we use in the States - 1-866-BUS-DEPOT (1-866-287-3376) - now works from Canada as well.

However, as with the U.S. toll free line, there are limitations. The number reaches our Order Desk, where they can take orders by part number (from our website) only - not Customer Service representatives who can check order status or look up parts or applications. (You can email sales@busdepot.com or call 1-215-234-VWVW for that.) Therefore there is still an advantage to ordering online, because online orders appear in your My Account page where you can easily look up your order history and tracking numbers. Orders placed by phone do not (although a copy of your order and tracking numbers will still be emailed to you when the order ships).

Another brief note, while I'm on the subject of Canadian orders: We use both U.S. Mail and FedEx Air to Canada, because they don’t tack on the absurdly high brokerage fees that UPS and FedEx Ground charge. (We get a big discount on FedEx Air to Canada, making it an affordable option in many cases.) The shopping cart will usually display both options, but if not, feel free to email us for a quote. If you place the order and then email us right away, we can still change the shipping method to a cheaper/slower option if one exists, as we don't actually charge your card until your order ships.
