it's a whole weird deal compared to all normal engines .. the nuts have sealant on them even.

as I said the usual danger I encounter is in undoing the nuts cleanly when taking it apart.

I'd still curious about the methods used and proper torque figures putting it together.

a trick I like to do .. when I assemble the head on ...with the rubber gaskets with sealant .. push rod tubes in place etc.. I don't put the sealont on the head nuts at first .... I just get everything nicely seated ...and don't torque the nuts too much . then one at a time, I take 'em off, put on the sealant.. then torque 'em all in the normal pattern and steps. just saves having to get everything in place all at once with sealants in two places. scott
