I can see it now for future posts: "My wipers stopped working.""Check for magnets." "What tires should I buy?""Depends on your magnets." "Oil!""Magnets!" Etc., etc.... Stephen

Passengers seat belt stopped working.  You could not insert the belt into the latching mechanism. I thought, "After 28 yrs, something broke or got stuck somehow" and began with a thorough douche with wd 40.  I began poking around and I could see what I assumed was a "latch" in the slot thats meant to accept the belt slider. Tried prying that back "into place" but it just moved around....So, removed the arm and pried apart the  cover.  Lots of small parts, springs, levers, etc.  Began pushing things around, curious as to exactly which piece might have broken..."Huh?   What's THIS piece do?" I think...   Well, that piece turned out to be a small magnet, having gotten off my dash somehow, and made it's way into the little slot, looking all innocent, like it belonged there....especially when trying to troubleshoot without removal and disassembly.  Removed the obstructing "stealthy" magnet and all is good again
