I don't have any problem at 15, or even 10 F. But at 0 F, my van will just not hold engine temperature at highway speeds -- needle drops well below center and the heater blows kind of warmish air. The cardboard trick works. When I mentioned this, I was wondering if Craig was in the brutal cold that has been reported lately. Evidently not.

I realize that we should expect our engines to work properly with the proper thermostat in place down to very cold conditions. But, this is not a perfect world.

I also realize that Craig has other problems. Sometimes things simply co-occur, but are unrelated.
