thanks, Ben. that brought him on line. Jim, FWIW, I went on line looking for [?] a week or two ago. I didn't have any probs with the site. it's lay out is why I requested the catalogue. the (expensive and condensed) print version could double as a coffee table book it looks that good ! they both show a lot of dedication to the mission statement. well done. that's why I refreshed the service. we're seeing new names to the rank and file. other members endorsed price and ship speed. rarely is mentioned part swap-ability. tie rod boots being the most recent example. a LOT of Vanagon parts are interchangable w/ A4 Jettas, et al : if shopped by part #. Vanagon specific requests can crush a wallet at certain parts counters. so, honest representation is most highly commendable in our world !! again, well done all involved - thanks. mike ________________________________ From: Old Volks Home <oldvolkshome@GMAIL.COM> To: vanagon@GERRY.VANAGON.COM Sent: Wednesday, February 6, 2013 11:50 PM Subject: Re: parts source And keeping the web catalog (and print) up to date is hard, tedious work. Was working on the database for 3 hours this morning and even after saving the work, the data was lost because of a stupid circuit breaker kept for my end of the building kept failing. Oh well.....guess I start all over tomorrow....that is if the damn breaker's replaced FIRST (as I told the GM there). He said it would be fixed right away.
