I had a Stebro SS muffler on my '84, but the connector pipe cracked after about 15k miles. Too much vibration for the brittle SS. Stebro used a flanged pipe with an asbestos donut squeezed between the flanges. How did you connect yours? I see some of the Subaru conversion vendors have gone to a slip joint connection (KEP for one) because of cracking.
