You mean there are people who aren't on ALL the bus lists?

John, if the stainless strips you're referring to are the trim strips that cover the screws attaching the top, then you can easily use either the Dometic brackets or the Go Westy brackets. (I've used both.)

Here's my Carefree of Colorado awning on brackets similar to the Go Westy brackets:
