Our dealer has "pigtails" with the terminal already crimped in place. Use a butt connector to splice to harness. They are available in various wire gauges to handle most any load. That solder joint looks like it was defective from day one especially if that is still the flux oozing out. Don't punish yourself for the failure.

Point taken. Will NOT mismatch. I had shrink wrapped the terminals but for various reasons, (including my install), this happened:

I really want to use "off the shelf" stuff but can not easily find a wired relay socket with #12 wire. Power to ECU etc. requires a #12 wire.

But there is this:

The latter would kill 2 or 3 birds but is not really off the shelf. Hella also makes these but locally, it's pricey for what it is IMO.
