Yikes.

In building a new exhaust for my swap, I often gave thought to the cat, pre cat pipe, long grass, cat shield or not, hot day, scenario. Bottom line for me: don't park or stop in long dry grass on a hot day.

AFAIK, the WBX cat doesn't have a shield.

Is a cat shield mainly there to help protect the cat from igniting things like dry grass?

Neil.
