Hi all. I've nearly finished installing a back up light. It's switchable from dash (switch near shift lever when in reverse). Relay is a 5 pin waterproof type. 87a of relay is normally closed. As is, the wire from 87a is taped and firmly cable strapped to the relay body well away from any metal. But..... Since this wire is #12, and NC engine off, it would be prime for a 12 Volt outlet tucked up on RH side of rear upper Westy shelf image. Arrow points to intended location: https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-qPdIzZgxrFY/UR_k7-An-KI/AAAAAAAAG7Q/zuzkWdSefEA/s576/12%2520Volt%2520Outlet.jpg I see this as a useful spot for running a compressor, rear light, etc. Plan is to run the + supply wire up the passenger side vent, then through interior wall. Will securing wire at area behind tail light, and up higher near the vent be sufficient? FWIW, 30 + power is fused on the supply side of the relay.
