Neil just mentioned LED back-up  lights. that's why I've been following this post. I can see well enough to park at home but,it wouldn't hurt to have more lighting at the lake shore [because I'm too lazy to carry the kayak] . I like the idea of a switched 3rd light for tail-gaters and/or high beamers. so, David, with an `85 GL, auto. can the existing switch gear and wiring tolerate 3 LED lights ? supposedly, they draw less power per fixture so, on paper, it looks as easy as stuff through a goose in berry season. thanks guys.          mike

A/T backup light switch is integrated with the starter lockout in the
shifter quadrant and is of heavy and accessible construction.  You
can clean and to some extent adjust it, and keep it running a long
time before having to spring for the expensive lockout/reverse switch assembly.
