Subject: steel coolant lines on a '84 westy
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=ISO-8859-1

Hey all,

Was wondering if anyone on this list has replaced the original steel coolant lines with the 1.5'' four part system? I finally got mine in place in addition to a new radiator and had a few questions in terms of the install. The pipes are strong and sturdy under the van, but I plan to use some worm drive clamps to get a tighter fit.

The question I have is with the pipe entry points into the engine bay. They are not exact. It seems like I will make it work in terms of attaching to the coolant hoses, but just wanted to know if anyone else had the same placement of pipes. Essentially I want to make sure I did not do anything glaringly wrong.

I think I might be firing up this van soon. Wish me luck. I'll be the last in the group-18 bostig. Quite an achievement.
