Well, did you check under the car if the shafts are connected properly. It has happened before that the bolts were broken by not having had them tightened properly. Other than that, it is something I can't speculate. Sounds like it is our beloved Mr. Christensen's alley.

I have an 89 2.1L GL, and while driving home from work I heard a clunk and the car wouldn't go. Clutch worked just fine, just no drive. Could it be a busted joint that spins and makes a clicking noise. I have had this van longer than any car in my life, and I want to keep it going as long as humanly possible. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
