... beg to differ. I suspect the engineers of the 81 angled the spare tire carrier to smooth out the air flow under the body. a lower coefficient of a tenth or even a hundredth means the ad copy writer can legally claim better aerodynamics. ninety nine cents is the best of a buck but, still less than a dollar. welcome to amerika - it's all about marketing spin.           mike
