Wait until you try and get them back on. I usually don't insert the cover plate back on fully until I have all 4 knobs on halfway or so. Dom 85 Westy

Bill, you certainly can. However, it takes a strong pull and I have yet to get a knob off without damaging the panel and/or banging my hand into something when it releases.
