Consider spark plug wires.

some very low tech ways to test them .. ohm measurement watch engine run in total darkness. If you see tiny sparks ..plug wires are bad. with engine warm and idling ..spray plug wires with a fine mist of water ..any stumbling ..bad plug wires.

te usual place to start is TempSensor II for this symptom.

as I like to say ...try to think 'diagnosis and testing' and not 'what part ? '

so very often it's not a part. for example.. is the throttle switch making contact at zero throttle ? you gotta check that. I find the later models off all the time. Try it with the oxygen sensor disconnected. and don't throw parts at it .. T e s t stuff.

But when I come home from work and its 60+ degrees, it starts right up and runs great Over the past year replaced the following: catalytic converter, AFM, Hall sender, fuel pump, changed the filters, half the fuel injuectors. Battery connections look solid, vacuum lines all connected and hoses look good, gas tank was R&R'd about a year ago and cleaned out. I'm totally at a loss and can't figure out what part could be bad to even replace. Not that I have ill will toward fellow vanagonites, but I hope someone else has had this problem and can make suggestions. >
